3. HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION
Hazard identification not required - product not regarded as a health hazard under current legislation.
4. FIRST AID MEASURES
Inhalation: No hazard.
Skin Contact: While the product is not a primary irritant, prolonged and repeated contact can cause a reaction, especially to sensitive skins. Barrier creams or gloves in these cases are necessary.
Eye Contact: Jelly adhesives are not a primary irritant, but contact may cause smarting. Irrigate thoroughly
with warm water. If symptoms persist, seek medical advice.
Ingestion: Jelly adhesives are a non-toxic product and are unlikely to be unintentionally ingested in sufficient quantity to cause discomfort. In cases of large quantity ingestion, use an emetic and obtain medical advice at
once.
5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES
Extinguishing Media: No restriction necessary. Jelly adhesives are non-flammable, having no flash point,
and therefore no special precautions are necessary. There is no restriction on extinguishing needed.
Hazardous Decomposition Products: Oxides of Nitrogen, Carbon Dioxide and Carbon Monoxide.
6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
Spill Clean-Up Methods: Spillages may be mopped up with hot water. However, larger spillages may be peeled from most working surfaces when cool and disposed of according to Local Authority Regulations.
Cleaning: Wash all equipment with warm water. If the adhesive has dried, it is preferable to soak the equipment
in cold water for 1 to 2 hours first.
7. HANDLING AND STORAGE
Storage: No special precautions are necessary. Store unopened containers in a cool place. No protection from frost is necessary.
Handling: When handling, it is recommended that barrier creams or gloves are used, and where splashing may occur, wear goggles when the adhesive is heated and in a liquid state.

No specific personal protection is necessary, although gloves may be advisable to prevent repeated or prolonged
skin contact and goggles to avoid splashes to the eyes where the method of application makes it necessary.
Jelly adhesives contain 0.75% Phenol. It has been our experience over many years that this preservative, used
at the above level, presents no danger - provided the general precautions (as note number 4 of this leaflet) are followed.

Physical Data Comments:
When heated to the recommended operating temperature, these adhesives become liquid, employing the modern technique of forming a bond on cooling after application to the substrate.
10. STABILITY AND REACTIVITY
Stability: Stable. If stored correctly, product will remain in a usable state for at least six months.
Hazardous Decomposition Products: Fire - Oxides of Nitrogen, Carbon Dioxide and Carbon Monoxide.
11. TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION
This product is non-toxic.
12. ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION
Degradability: Being a natural product this product is environmentally friendly and is biodegradable. Paper
and board bonded with this product is recyclable.
13. DISPOSAL CONSIDERATION
The dried adhesive can be disposed of with normal waste in accordance with Local Authority Regulations.
